A square side/coffee table whose base is a waffle lattice: two interlocking sets of CNC-milled timber slats cross at half-lap joints to form a doubly-curved saddle grid, capped by a flat top. Every slat's top and bottom edges follow the saddle, so the lattice rises toward the corners and dips at the centre. The half-lap notches let the slats slot together without fasteners, and the top simply rests on the lattice. Footprint and slat pitch are parametric.
