Multi-level CNC cat climbing frame with a hideaway cubby (front oval entry, side tunnel exit and decorative Abyssinian-cat silhouette windows), two turned cylindrical scratching posts and two staggered perches. The middle perch is cantilevered forward and the top perch is shifted back so a cat must leap diagonally between levels. At the middle level each cylindrical post is split, and a single continuous 30x30 square tenon rises from the lower post, passes through the perch mortise and plugs into a blind mortise in the upper post -- the square tenon keeps the round post from spinning and locks the two segments into one column, while the perch is captured between the lower post's shoulder and the upper post. CNC-milled from timber, no metal fasteners.
