Workbench
A solid workbench: a thick slat top nailed onto a heavy four-leg frame, with the slats running across the width so vises and clamps can grip the edge. The slatted top tolerates drilling, sawing, and the occasional misplaced hammer better than a glued-up panel would — damaged slats can be replaced individually. Thirty-nine timber parts.
